Not very beautiful truth about agar syrup.

For many years I talked and wrote about the problem of excess sugar in the diet. I also warned people about the so-called “healthy sugars”, and one of them is agave syrup or nectar.

What is agave syrup:

Who would have thought that the innocent “Agave Nectar” is harmful to our health? Even the word nectar is beautiful. This is far from a real natural nectar, but in fact. Agave is very purified fructose.

Why fructose in agave syrup is harmful:

Your liver destroys the agave like alcohol, leading to a fatty liver even “beer belly.” What about fruits? Whole fruits can be a healthy addition to your diet, since it contains a large amount of nutrients and fiber. However, there are some fruits such as grapes or mangoes that are packaged in terms of spasmodic sugar in the blood. But when the fruit is concentrated and processed, double troubles begin here. Agave can contain from 70% to 99% fructose compared to high fructose corn syrup, which is 55% fructose – a huge difference (but still bad).

Excess fructose is associated with:
– Weight gain and obesity (which can lead to problems with metabolic health)
– Destroys the hunger and satiety hormones that cause hunger and overeating
– Resistance to insulin (which can lead to diabetes)
– High triglycerides (which can lead to heart disease)
– Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Agave is not an alternative to healthy sugar:

Corn syrup with high fructose content, white table sugar, evaporated cane juice, honey, agave and many other sweeteners, including artificial sweeteners, should be avoided to prevent health problems that arise when using a sweetener. Instead, choose sugar substitutes that are healthy in nature, such as erythritol, xylitol, a fruit monk and stevia (extraction powder).

Do not fall in love with “Agave – an alternative to healthy sugar” – it’s not so.
