Diabetics and the healing power of a vegan diet

(HealthAndLovePage) Diabetics should be careful with nutrition. Each choice of food that they produce has a major impact on their overall health, regardless of gender and age.

Diabetes is a disease without treatment. On the contrary, it can easily cause many infections, blindness, impotence, and it can even cause functional kidney disorder and their loss. That’s why nutrition is one of the most important ways to combat diabetes.

We know that a vegetarian lifestyle emphasizes a small amount of fats, foods high in fiber and rich in nutrients. Therefore, we should mention that this type of diet is recommended for diabetics. This disease is inhibited in the body by the proper processing of food. Most of the food we consume is easily digested and converted into glucose, and sugar is injected into all the cells of the body, giving us the energy we need.

How do diabetics control blood sugar levels?

The hormone insulin helps glucose to reach the cells. But diabetics are not able to control the amount of glucose in the blood, because the mechanism of converting sugar into energy does not function properly. In such cases, the body lacks insulin or small amounts. As a result of this disordered state, glucose is deposited in the bloodstream, causing problems such as: inability to concentrate, weakness, loss of coordination and blurred vision.

If you do not maintain a proper balance between consumed food and insulin levels, you can experience very low blood sugar levels. In addition, if this condition is extended for a longer period, it can lead to coma and even death.

Despite the incurable, diabetes can be successfully controlled through nutrition and exercise. To achieve this, diabetics need to take care of their proper calorie intake. The facilitating factor is that diabetics who choose to live a vegan lifestyle should not count calories. They can calculate the glycemic index, or the total intake of carbohydrates, because half of their diet consists of complex carbohydrates.

Many diabetic vegetarians have shown that as a result of their vegetarian diet, they reduced the use of insulin injections, which also gives them a sense of strength and control over their disease. With better nutrition, better health, better spirit !!!
